Jim and Mary were both patients in a Mental Hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom and stayed there. Mary promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled Jim out.
When the medical director became aware of Mary's heroic act he immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital as he now considered her to be mentally stable. When he went to tell Mary the news he said, "Mary, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged because since you were able to jump in and save the life of another patient, I think you've regained your senses. The bad news is Jim, the patient you saved, hung himself with his bathrobe belt in the bathroom. I am so sorry, but he's dead."
Mary replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry."
Today, I am planning of doing some household chores as soon as Maddie takes her afternoon nap. Right now, she is just all over the place playing and making a mess with things. Hubby, just called and he said that he might work late tonight for a testing. He just finish eating his lunch and had a walk with his supervisor. I guess they like to walk and talk after lunch. That's a good exercise to keep the circulation going after sitting for so long in front on the computer. Anyway, hopefully he will be home not so late.
A plane was taking off from Kennedy Airport. After it reached
a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement
over the intercom, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain
speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, non-stop from New York to Los
Angeles. The weather ahead is good and, therefore, we should have a smooth and
uneventful flight. Now sit back and relax - OH, MY G-D!" Silence followed, and after a few minutes the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am so sorry if I scared you earlier; but, while I was talking, the flight attendant brought
me a cup of coffee and spilled the hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!"
A passenger in Coach said, "That's nothing. He should see the back of mine!"
My mom's flight is today and she should be in Los Angeles this afternoon. She stayed for over a month in the Philippines to spend Christmas and New Year with my family. Hubby and I can't because of hubby's work. He only have two weeks of vacation that is why we can't stay. Anyway, hopefully my mom will have a safe flight. I will try to call her later in the evening when she is settled at home. It would have been nice to spend the holidays with my family but maybe some other time when hubby can take long vacation from work. Have a wondeful day everyone.
A politician was walking home from the county courthouse the evening of Election Day when he came upon a young boy sitting on the curb, bawling his eyes out.
"Why are you crying?" the politician asked.
"My dad died," the boy replied.
"That's terrible, when did it happen?"
"Five years ago," the boy said.
"Five years ago? And you are still this upset?"
"It's not that," the boy said. "It's just that my dad voted today, but he didn't come to see me."
Yepey, tomorrow is off friday for hubby. Hopefully, we can do something. Since we arrived here last Saturday Maddie and I are in the house. It was cold outside to do things and hubby is at work. So,tomorrow we might do something or go somewhere just to go out of the house. It's kind of boring and lonely to be at home for a full week.
Last night we watch The Night at the Museum. It was a nice and funny movie. We started watching a little late but still we watched it till the end. Maddie was watching too but ended up sleeping in my lap. She probably feel bored with this movie.
We went to Kaiser and the doctor said that Maddie has cold. She needed lots of rest. Right now she feels better but still with runny nose and cough. Hopefully, she will feel better soon. Hubby and I are feeling so much better after resting all day yesterday. Vitamin C helps too.
Finally, they found our luggage. Apparently, it didn't leave LAX. Anyway, they deliver it at 5:00 in the morning. Also, we are still experiencing jet lag especially Maddie who can't sleep at night. Poor hubby. He has to work the following day without any sleep. Right now, hubby and I doesn't feel so good. we needed lot's of rest.
